ShowUp9™ – The Relational Gauges in Your Cockpit

ShowUp9™ is a simple, practical way to check how you’re actually showing up—in conversations, leadership moments, family life, and even in the quiet, ordinary places of your day.

Nine gauges in the cockpit of your life—helping you show up grounded, honest, humble, courageous, centered, and aligned.

Why it matters:
These behaviors shape how you move through the world, creating the presence that builds belonging and strengthens connection.

The 9 Ways to Show Up

Each element is a “gauge” or “color” on your internal dashboard. When these nine are lit, you’re showing up as your most grounded, connected self.

  1. Present
You are here—not divided, distracted, or elsewhere in your head. The person in front of you feels like they matter.
  2. Honest
You speak truth with kindness. Your words match your inner reality, without pretending or exaggerating.
  3. Humble
You don’t need to be the hero. You listen, learn, apologize, and receive help without defensiveness.
  4. Hopeful
You carry a sense of possibility. You acknowledge difficulty but refuse to live from fear or cynicism.
  5. Responsible
You own your part. You follow through, keep your word as best you can, and repair what you break.
  6. Courageous
You move toward what matters, even when it’s uncomfortable. You say the hard thing with love and take the next right step.
  7. Curious
You ask instead of assume. You explore perspectives—others’ and your own—with openness and wonder.
  8. Centered
You are rooted, not reactive. You act from clarity, values, and God’s guidance—not from emotion alone.
  9. Committed
You stay engaged. You don’t bail at friction. You remain faithful to the people, practices, and promises that matter most.

How to Use ShowUp9™

You can use ShowUp9™ as a quick internal check before, during, or after meaningful moments:

  • Before entering a room or conversation:
“Which gauges am I bringing with me today?”
  • During a moment that matters:
“Am I curious? Present? Humble? Honest?”
  • Afterward:
“Where did I show up well? Where do I want a do-over or a practice rep?”

The goal is not perfection—it’s intentionality.

Ask yourself:
When I show up, am I intentionally engaging all nine elements—or drifting through the moment on autopilot?

ShowUp9™ and “Being Found”:

How Do You Show Up When You’re Interrupted?

Showing up isn’t only about the moments you plan. It’s also about the moments that find you.

  • A family member walks in during work.
  • A child taps you while you’re scrolling.
  • Someone says your name while you’re reading, binging, or in your own world.

In those moments, ask:

  • Do I hit pause—mute the video, close the screen, put down the book, turn toward the person?
  • Or am I found wanting—irritated, half-present, hidden behind distraction?

Some clients call this a quiet sister-principle to ShowUp9™—a “Be Found” check:

When someone finds me, do they find me present, honest, humble, hopeful, responsible, courageous, curious, centered, and committed?
Or do they find me somewhere else?

ShowUp9™ helps you build a way of being where, whether you show up intentionally or you are found unexpectedly, the people in your life encounter the same grounded, connected version of you.

The Result: Genuine Belonging That Moves Your Story Forward

When you show up or you are found present, aligned, and engaged, something powerful happens:

You create the conditions for true belonging—with God, within yourself, and with the people in your story.

Belonging isn’t passive. It’s created through presence, honesty, humility, courage, and connection.
And when belonging is real, fulfillment becomes authentic, not artificial.

These are the connections that:

  • strengthen your relationships,
  • open meaningful doors,
  • and carry you further into your Capstone Story—the story God is writing in and through your life.

Showing up matters.
Being found matters.
Together, they shape who you become next.
