Hi, I’m Dave Pavao.
I’ve spent over three decades leading teams, building businesses, and developing people in environments where clarity and steady leadership matter. My path spans military electronics, operations leadership, product development, and executive roles shaping teams, logistics, and strategy. I later trained with Maxwell Leadership because I saw how identity and emotional grounding transform the way people lead and live.
I created Capstone Copilot for people who are seeking personal or professional transformationin who long to be in their next season of breakthrough and harvest. When life feels unclear or unsettled, you don’t need pressure or someone taking over. You need calm, space to breathe, to understand your season, and reconnect with direction. You need to take your next right step with peace.
My mission is to help people navigate their stories with clarity and purpose. I freely share and look to improve the navigation tools so anyone can understand their season, hear God more clearly, and move forward with confidence. I’m not here to create dependence; I want Navigators—people equipped to lead themselves and strengthen those around them.
I’ve always been a builder. Throughout my career, I designed systems, created tools, and adapted products long before automation was common. People often tell me, “You’re the smart guy everyone needs on their team.” Today, that’s the role I offer—serving with individuals and organizations to build the systems, teams, and solutions that support long-term growth.

Why I Do This
I’ve spent much of my life as a Copilot — the steady partner behind the scenes who helps leaders rise, see clearly, and stay grounded through change. In my worldview, God is the true Pilot who ties our stories together, even in a world that feels increasingly divided.
My own journey has taken me through seasons where I felt lost, overwhelmed, or unsure of who I was becoming. What brought me through wasn’t hustle or success — it was clarity.
Clarity of identity. Clarity of season. Clarity of God’s direction.
And learning to navigate with more humility than intensity.
Through this, I discovered something important:
Most people don’t need coaching forever. They just need guidance until they can see their map.
That’s why I do this.
I walk beside individuals and leaders as they navigate their stories — helping them understand their season, rediscover who they are, and take their next right step with confidence and peace. Not to create dependency, but to raise navigators who can eventually lead themselves… and help others do the same.
The heart of Capstone Copilot is simple:
to multiply clarity and peace, equip people to thrive, and help them become steady copilots in the stories they are called to live.
As this work grows, I’m also stepping more fully into the “Helping Hands” side — practical solutions, systems, leadership development, and consulting that strengthen businesses, teams, and communities. Coaching is just the beginning; building capable leaders is the mission.
And part of that mission includes preparing and equipping other coaches and leaders — including my own son — so this work multiplies beyond me.
It also means prioritizing the work that brings purpose, alignment, and peace — investing my time and energy into people, systems, and callings that build something meaningful and lasting.
